We have all received a talent, gift, trade, and ability that differs from the next person. Sometimes, we choose to make those things work for us and become sources of income. Yay! The purpose of this site and the blog is to help everyone that reads it, see that they can make their hobby and talent a work of art that other people will look at and say wow...maybe even buy!

My calling, I believe, has always been to take something thrown away, abused, referred to as ugly and forgotten and make it incredible but I couldn't do this with out 2 things...Faith and Family.

My family and I started HHGL,12 years ago to date. It's a local business that went from supplying landscaping and garden design services to helping people update their interiors with painting services, drywall and light construction to get their houses ready to be put on the market. Our first home that we painted and I staged, sold less than a month after it was placed on the market. There could have been a lot of reasons why that house sold so fast but with a $200 a month HOA fee, I would credit it due to the presentation of staging that provided a home environment when the client saw it for the first time, she felt at home.

We stumbled upon doing furniture during this time, well using it for staging that is. My husband and I had been building furniture and re-purposing pieces in our home for a few years, just never for anyone else. I sent a good friend of mine a picture of what we were doing and she asked me if we could do a table for her. After we finished that, she needed chairs which we did (check out the furniture forum to see pics). Then she talked her boyfriend into having us re-purpose some items for him...you see where this is going. I keep busy with this venture in combination with our specialty construction business. It has truly been a Blessing to do this side by side with my family and has caused me to see that God gives us all so many Blessings that if we are focused enough to realize them, we will see that we truly have a Blessed life!
