Our Experience
This is what you call destiny, this line of work we are in. I remember reading a book by Joanna Gaines saying it felt like seeds were being planted early on for her and Chip. When I read that, I felt that same way about my husband and I.
We started HHGL years ago as a landscaping only business that we used as extra monthly income during the the summer, after my husband lost his reimbursement account from his job. We found ourselves, stuck paying for things that we had purchased for him to do his tech job, which was not cool at all but all part of God's plan. It was seasonal and that wasn't quite enough for a family to live on so we started looking at ways to increase revenue annually. That is when we started educating our selves and applying for the proper licencing to provide specialty construction services along with landscaping. We are now a one stop shop and will soon offer construction management to our array of services.
My husband Allen, started doing mission work in Honduras and local places here in the United States, building churches and structures. He spent over 13 years working under a general contractor, who is totally awesome I might add, learning the skills that he uses today doing specialty construction and carpentry.
I on the other hand, grew up building every house we ever lived in with my parents. I remember installing floors with my dad. That is when I grew an appreciation for big tile! I have also learned something new about myself, I'm pretty good at plaster and dry wall.
Warp speed to now, we are always learning and looking to God to bless our future and guide us to our next venture because we are always learning and starting something new!
We absolutely love anything construction and offer all of our clients the ability, through CAD software, to see their projects from start to finish! This has given us the technology in the industry that you have seen on HGTV remodeling and house flipping shows!
Through the " A Blessed Home" pages you will see another love of ours. Working with wood and restoring and re purposing wooden furniture items- old, rusty, that have been forgotten and abused. We started re-purposing things around our home and now it is incorporated with HHGL Complete Home Services.
Love, Love, Love me some re-purposing! All of the experiences we have had led to this opportunity, which as you can tell, is another favorite of ours.
